Choose blood in an emergency –appropriate for your health

Have you considered that in a life-threatening emergency, you may need a blood transfusion? What if the blood you receive is from an individual who has been vaccinated and has synthetic COVID-19 spike proteins circulating in their blood at the time of donation? What if your personal medical condition presents a risk regarding receiving blood with spike proteins? At this time, we don’t have a choice in which blood donations we accept in an emergency.

The Red Cross establishes a list of scenarios in which you may donate or not donate blood. When you attempt to donate blood, the health worker will ask you various questions and the answers are noted, People in certain situations are not allowed to donate blood at all.

The Minnesota Freedom Action Network supports requests to legislators asking them, and the Minnesota Department of Health in turn, to require all blood donation sites to track the COVID-19 vaccination status of donors.

This will allow patients who are in need of blood transfusions the ability to choose, to some extant – and in some situations, the blood that they allow to be put into their bodies.

A website offers a blood donor connection feature for the unvaccinated

An unknown group has created a website where people can list themselves as unvaccinated blood donors, and where people can potentially find an unvaccinated blood donor for a medical procedure. Please visit, create an account, and select “Blood Bank” in the navigation menu.
